7-day trial

Request a trial licence

Paste the Device ID of the machine you want to evaluate on. We email back a signed licence that activates the enterprise build on that machine for 7 days, then expires on its own.

  1. Install the enterprise build — it opens on an activation screen and starts no projects until a key is pasted in. The community build needs no key and has no activation screen at all.
  2. Copy your Device ID — it is on that activation screen, behind the Copy Device ID button. On an installation you have already activated: manager dashboard → SettingsDevice licenses.
  3. Paste it below. The licence is bound to that fingerprint and will not activate anywhere else.
Your trial licence is emailed here.
What the trial unlocks

Runtime activation always included Lets the enterprise build start your projects. Without it the manager loads but runs nothing, so every trial carries it.

Tick the add-on only if you want to evaluate it too.
Paste the whole JSON block the Copy Device ID button puts on your clipboard — not just one line of it. It contains hashes of your hardware identifiers, never the identifiers themselves.

No payment. No double opt-in. One licence per request.

What happens when it expires

Whatever is running stays running. The expiry is checked when the manager starts a project, never against one already serving screens, so a licence that lapses overnight does not take a line down — the manager simply will not start anything new, and says so. Restart the machine and you are back at the activation screen.

The audit-trail module, if you evaluated it, stops recording; the records already written stay on disk. Your project files are never touched, and the runtime never contacts a licence server — expiry is a date inside the signed key, checked offline.

The open-source build is the other way out: it needs no key, has no activation screen, and carries every feature except the audit trail. How the two differ.
